I will have Vietnam Unclassified, compiled by Sgt William Kazlausky, at our next OSC meeting for all chapters to view.  I think each chapter should have a copy. Cost  $23.  which includes shipping.

I was proud to be one of the first contributors with an image of our C

boats finding mines in Cam Rahn Bay, prior to major port buildup (1964) – Look ma, nothing above the water line yet.All hell broke out the following 6 months. We had to make sure any marinedidn't stub their toe when charging the beach and have cold beer ready for the Coast Guard too.  The images and storys are from the ground up. Sgt. Bill's language is true grit – this is the way it should be remembered not sanitized John Wayne Hollywood. Most don’t know but our 9 boat mine flotilla - MinePac 32 was the first generation “swift boats” 64-65 moving up rivers, sweeping mines and little did we know we were drinking and bathing run off of agent orange even in 64-65.

Thanks,OSC  VP dick

PTSD SERVICE DOGS FOR VETERANS

Why I go to my chapter meetings...

"I now know why men who have been to war yearn to reunite. Not to tell stories or look at old pictures. Not to laugh or weep. Comrades gather because they long to be with the men who once acted at their best; men who suffered and sacrificed, who were stripped of their humanity. I did not pick these men. They were delivered by fate and the military. But I know them in a way I know no other men. I have never givenanyone such trust. They were willing to guard something more precious than my life. They would have carried my reputation, the memory of me. It was part of the bargain we all made, the reason we were so willing to die for one another. As long as I have memory, I will think of them all, every day. I am sure that when I leave this world, my last thought will be of my family and my comrades. Such good men."
